Definition-
A pressure vessel is a container designed to hold gases or liquids at
a pressure substantially different from the ambient pressure.

Design involves parameters such as maximum safe operating pressure and temperature, safety factor,corrosion allowance and minimum design temperature (for brittle fracture).

Radiography Inspection- Paragraph-136.4.5 When required by this Chapter (see Table 136.4), radiographic examination shall be performed in accordance with the requirements of Section V, Article 2, of the ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code, except that the requirements of T-274 are to be used as a guide but not for the rejection of radiographs unless the geometrical unsharpness exceeds 0.07 in.  (2.0 mm).
