 CORROSION RATES AND INSPECTION INTERVALS

The Inspector must be able to calculate:

a) Metal Loss (including corrosion averaging) (API 510, Para 7.4)

b) Corrosion Rates (API 510, Para 7.1)

c) Remaining Corrosion Allowance (API 510, Para 7.1)

Remaining Corrosion Allowance = t actual – t required

d) Remaining Service Life (API 510, Para 7.2)

e) Inspection Interval (API 510, Section 6)
